Submission Rules: You may submit one poem up to 60 lines in length. Your entry must be original, written by you, and not have received a monetary award or high honors from any other contest. You may submit your poem simultaneously to this contest and to other contests and publishers. We do not accept previously published poems. Submissions may not be modified after entry.
Poems written in English are eligible. Translations are not eligible, unless you are author of both the original poem and the translation. Illustrations or photos accompanying the poem will not be forwarded to the judge.
Poems should be submitted by email to flyleafpoetrycontest (at) gmail (dot) com with FLYLEAF CONTEST in the subject line, and your name, address, and phone number in the body of the email. Poems must be attached as a Word document. Your name should not be included anywhere in the poem. You will not be notified that your submission has been received. The judge will read the submissions blind. Identification of authors will be scrubbed before the entries are submitted to the judge.
If you’re unsure of your eligibility, or if your submission wins an award in another contest, please send an email to flyleafpoetrycontest (at) gmail (dot) com with QUESTION in the subject line.
Deadlines: Poems will be accepted beginning July 1st, 2018. The submission period ends midnight, August 31, 2018. Poems received after that date will be deleted.
