In this five-hour workshop, we’ll learn how to write a story from beginning to end. We’ll start by generating ideas and exploring the best ways to get a story rolling. Participants will learn how to develop compelling characters and construct a plot that keeps readers turning the pages. This workshop is writing-intensive and best for kids who are enthusiastic writers.
This workshop is best suited for rising fifth graders to rising seventh graders.

Praise for Frances’s workshops for young writers:
* “I've sent [my daughter] to several enrichment courses and never before has she ever been so excited to tell me about how things went and about what she learned.”
* “When I asked [my son] how it went today, he said, ‘GREAT!! I loved it!!’ This is someone who is not always the most effusive about things, and had some skepticism going into it. For as much of a voracious reader as he has been, he has never caught the writing bug or thought of writing as something to do in his down time. But he is excited about his story and I'm thrilled that he may learn to find enjoyment in being a writer as well as a reader.”
