Featured poet(s) will each read for approximately 20 minutes and, after a short break for the readers to sign books, there will be a poetry open mic. Please sign up to read no later than 6:45 p.m. Each open mic reader will be limited to no more than a page of poetry. There’s an informal get-together before the reading at 6:30 p.m. next door at Root Cellar. Hope to see you there!
Chris Tonelli is a founding editor of the independent poetry press, Birds, LLC, and he curates the So & So Series and edits So & So Magazine. He is the author of five chapbooks and two full-length collections, most recently Whatever Stasis (Barrelhouse Books, 2018). He works in the Libraries at NC State and co-owns So & So Books in Raleigh, NC where he lives with his wife, Allison, and their two kids, Miles and Vera.
ASHLEY HARRIS is an Aquarius from Manassas VA who currently lives in Durham. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with majors in Hispanic Culture, Literature, and Chemistry and a minor in Creative Writing. She has published short stories and poems in several online magazines including Wusgood black and Moko Magazine. She was previously on the Chapel Hill Brave New Voices Team in 2012 and the College Union's Poetry Slam Team in 2014 and 2015.
