Flyleaf Second Thursday Poetry Reading & Open Mic, featuring David Radavich and Jan Zaleski Hilton!

Join us for this latest installment of our monthly poetry & open mic series! 

David Radavich has published a variety of poetry collections, including America Bound: An Epic for Our Time (2007) and Middle-East Mezze (2011).  His plays have been performed across the U.S., including six Off-Off-Broadway, and in Europe.  He has served as president of the Thomas Wolfe Society and the Charlotte Writers’ Club. His latest book is The Countries We Live In (Main Street Rag, 2014).

Jan Zaleski Hilton is a retired English/Writing Instructor with a Masters Degree from the famed Poetry Center at the University of California at San Francisco. Her poems were published in the late 60’s and during the 70’s and again recently. She has been published in Solo Café, an anthology of poems about teaching, in SOL Literary Journal, and in ...and love..., the anthology. Her new chapbook is Elegies for a New World (Finishing Line Press, 2012).

An informal get-together before the reading will begin around 6:00 pm at Foster’s. Come join us for an hour of conversation. 

Featured readers will each read for approximately 20 minutes and, after a short break for the readers to sign books, there will be an open poetry mic. Please sign up to read no later than 6:45 pm.
