Celebrate the first annual Independent Bookstore Day with Flyleaf!

Flyleaf joins over 400 stores nationally with a day of events and special merchandise in celebration of independent bookstores!

For one day, and one day only, a number of very limited, unique, word-based items and books will be available in more than 400 independent stores across the country. These aren’t your run-of-the-mill signed first editions—these are literature-based art projects, unique books, and collector’s items created for this event only. You can’t get them before. You can’t get them after. And you can’t get them online.

Among the items available at Flyleaf: Frameable prints signed by Dav Pilkey and Allie Brosh, Margaret Atwood graffiti stencils, and Flyleaf-branded Roz Chast tote bags!

Our slate of events:

11:00am:  Special story-time and craft session with our Children's Manager Johanna!

2:00pm: Jeremy Hawkins, debut author of The Last Days of Video, leads a prompt-writing workshop and craft talk for writers of all experience levels. Bring your notebook and we'll take it from there.

6:00pm: We'll bring out the refreshments as guitarist and singer Jake Xerxes Fussell takes the stage for a set featuring songs from his new self-titled album.
