Help us raise money for Orange County, NC's Compass Center by purchasing a "mystery" bundle of five used books for $35. For every set of books sold, $15 will be donated to Compass Center. (We increased the amount donated per bundle to $25 for each one sold!) You pick the genre, we'll pick the books from our used book section!

Compass Center for Women and Families helps all people navigate their journey to self-sufficiency, safety, and health. We empower individuals and promote equal access to opportunity regardless of gender or economic status. Our services include career and financial education, domestic violence crisis and prevention programs, assistance with legal resources, and youth health programs.

Compass Center was born when two strong agencies with successful track records serving women and families in the community — The Women’s Center and the Family Violence Prevention Center of Orange County — merged.  As Compass Center, we provide a unique array of aligned prevention, crisis, and long-term self-sufficiency services under one umbrella. We believe that this model allows our community to more easily access services that address the interconnected nature of gender equity and economic justice. 

Community Impact By the Numbers - We serve 6,500+ people in our community annually through Self-Sufficiency Services, Domestic Violence and Crisis Services, and Adolescent Empowerment Services.
