Flyleaf Second Sunday Poetry Series: Chapman Hood Frazier and Maria Rouphail

Flyleaf will offer seating for up to 60 in-person guests. Masks recommended.
Featured poets will each read for 20 minutes, followed by a short break to sign books, then an open mic. Please sign up by 2:30 pm, and limit your reading to one poem, one page. Hope to see you there!
Chapman Hood Frazier is the author of The Lost Books of the Bestiary, a finalist for the V Press Poetry Awards. Earlier he was runner up in the Alexandria Quarterly Poetry Chapbook Competition. With a PhD from the University of Virginia, he has taught for many years at James Madison University, where he was Associate Director of the Young Writer’s Workshop. His poems have appeared in The Virginia Quarterly Review, The Southern Poetry Review, The South Carolina Poetry Review, and other publications. He was poetry editor for the Dos Passos Review. He lives in Rice, Virginia.
Maria Rouphail, PhD is Senior Lecturer Emerita for North Carolina State University, where she taught courses in World Literature and served as an academic adviser to the English major. She is Poetry Editor of Main Street Rag. Her third poetry collection, All the Way to China, was a finalist in both the University of Wisconsin Brittingham Poetry and the Blue Light Press competitions. Her earlier collections are Apertures and Second Skin. A six-time Pushcart nominee, she lives in Raleigh.
