Dr. Lane Anderson is well-known for his counsel to older couples and women who are looking for a partner after a late-life divorce or after being widowed. Distinguished author, teacher, Naval officer, columnist and scholar, Anderson
brings a great deal of wisdom to this forum for people of all ages. His book, Care Enough to Discipline: Raising
Children for the 21st Century, received rave reviews. His monthly column, “Ask Dr. A,” addresses questions in an interesting and down- to-earth way that helps readers in every generation. He is the recipient of the prestigious
Patrick Francis Daly Memorial Award from Yale University for excellence in educational leadership. Anderson holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from UNC-Chapel Hill and a doctorate from UNC-Greensboro in education, where he also completed four years of post-doctoral courses in Human Development, Psychology, and Family Studies. Dr. Anderson is a board certified clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and the American Psychological Association (APA).

Emily Gordon is a dynamic, amusing speaker, who along with Dr. Anderson, engages her audiences, encouraging
their participation on topics ranging from flirting (“pick up lines”) and dating to intimacy and sex for those over the age of sixty.  A senior citizen, she is on the dating scene herself and an expert on the do’s and don’t’s of relationships in later
years. “There are no dumb questions,” she says. Gordon shares her talents nationwide, leading forums from New York City to San Francisco. Her energetic style and effusive personality brings both laughter and tears to audiences wherever she goes.  Earlier in her career, she taught at the UCLA School of Social Work and at two colleges in New York City.
Gordon graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Social Work and from the University of Michigan with a Masters
in Social Work.
