In celebration of the occasion, we've asked Sarah Dessen, Nathan Kotecki and Ursula Vernon to come in and play bookseller-for-a-day. Come in and mingle with the literary stars and show your support for your local independent bookstore! Want more info on Indies First? Sarah Dessen Sarah Dessen grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and attended UNC-Chapel Hill, graduating with highest honors in Creative Writing. She is the author of eleven novels, including Someone Like You, Just Listen and The Moon and More. She lives in North Carolina. You can catch her from 9:00-10:30am.
Nathan Kotecki is the author of The Suburban Strange and Pull Down the Night, the first two books of The Suburban Strange series. He'll don the bookseller mantle from 11:00am-1:00pm.
Ursula Vernon is the author and illustrator of Nurk, Digger, Dragonbreath, Castle Hangnail, and the forthcoming Hamster Princess. Her Eisner-nominated comic Digger won the Hugo Award for Best Graphic Story and the Mythopoeic Award, and her children's book "Dragonbreath" won the Sequoyah Award in 2013. She lives in Pittsboro with her husband, a beagle, and a small collection of cats, and she'll be at Flyleaf from 2:00-3:00 pm!
