An evening with Michael Malone: the author discusses his books and writing
Author and screenwriter Michael Malone will discuss his books and his writing career for both screen and books.
He is the author of nine novels, one collection of short stories and two works of nonfiction as well as an Emmy Award-winning television writer best known for his work on the ABC Daytime drama One Life to Live. Born in Durham, Michael was educated at UNC and at Harvard. He has taught at Yale, the University of Pennsylvania and Swarthmore.
Among his prizes are the Edgar, the O. Henry, the Writers Guild Award and the Emmy. He lives in Hillsborough, North Carolina, with his wife, Maureen Quilligan, chair of the English department at Duke University.
