Guest speaker: Dr.
Pauletta Brown Bracy presents “Inside the Coretta Scott King Award”
Dr. Pauletta Brown Bracy, Associate Professor of Library
and Information Science, North Carolina Central University, will be presenting
her annotated bibliography of multicultural literature for children and young
adults. Dr. Bracy headed the prestigious Coretta Scott King - Virginia Hamilton
Lifetime Achievement Award committee in 2012. During the last American Library
Association Conference, Dr. Bracy presented this award to the beloved Mr.
Ashley Bryan. A much sought after leader in her field, it is an honor to
welcome Dr. Bracy’s expertise to Flyleaf Books.
The Triangle Reading Council provides the opportunity for
educators and community members to collaborate in a professional organization
that advocates for global literacy as the means to a productive, successful
life as a participating citizen in a democratic society.
